The Shotgun Skills Course is aimed at those wishing to start taking part in clay or game shooting, to acquire a gun, or novices who have recently acquired a shotgun. You do not need to have a shotgun certificate to take this course.
The course covers personal and range safety, shotgun types and use, cartridges, and chokes. There is also a practical session on the CPSA Method of shooting. The course includes loan guns (if required), ear protection, eye protection, all clays, and cartridges.
We also now offer discipline specific Advanced Shotgun Skills Course in either Trap, English Skeet or English Sporting aimed at progressing the established shooter in their chosen discipline. You must hold a current shotgun certificate to attend this course.
The courses are open to both members and non-members of the CPSA.
