Having a Doctorate in Psychology, I have worked as a Consultant for many years in System Design, Ergonomics, Health and Safety, Human Resources Training and Employee Development.
I have been the Managing Director of my own company for over 30 years and the MD of several other companies, in Financial Services, Recreation, Leisure and Sports.
I have 40 years’ experience within shooting and target sports and am a qualified CPSA Coach, Safety Officer and Referee and have entered the Academy’s Tutor Program working towards training and developing new Instructors, Coaches, Referees and Safety Officers.
Within the sport I am a Freelance Sporting Course Designer and Shooting Coach. For the last five years I have been the Nottinghamshire CPSA County Secretary and also an active member of the East Midlands Regional Committee.
As a keen shooter of all disciplines I have been a County Team Manager for many years, regularly shooting for several of the county's teams and can be found at grounds throughout the region with my partner Tracy and our energetic black Labrador, Kenny.
Increasing the membership, promoting a positive image of shooting to the general public and expanding the influence of the CPSA in the shooting world is something we need to do, and something I believe we can do.
I intend to be out and about at grounds and competitions, meeting shooters and listening to their ideas and concerns. If you have a grievance then so have I, because it means we are failing you and, if we are, I want to know about it.
The future development of the CPSA lies within its grass roots membership. As a Director I consider that it is my duty to ensure that every member has a full say in that future.
