My obsession with shooting started over eight years ago when my wife told me I had to get a hobby. So I went clay pigeon shooting with my brother-in-law (Gary Harnett) at a local gun club (Alnwick & District Gun Club in Northumberland) and I was hooked. My other passion is anything to do with IT/Technology where my day-to-day job is as an IT Director. I joined the North Region CPSA committee a few years ago and have been the treasurer for the last two years, alongside becoming the North Regions ABT Manager which is my preferred discipline. I live and breathe IT and shooting so thought it would be best to combine the two and to represent the North Region shooters with over 25 years of management experience both running my own business and being a senior manager within the companies I have worked in over the years.
My goal over the next few years is to make sure that I use my experience in IT to assist the CPSA with their technology ambitions, and also to represent the North Region and to make sure its members and the grounds have their say. I am looking forward to representing the North Region and to helping promote clay-target shooting across the region/country.
Please come and speak to me if you see me at a shoot in the future. I am looking forward to representing the CPSA to increase the membership and to represent all shooters across England.
