Shooting Instructor Vacancy - Orston Shooting Ground



Part Time Shooting Instructor Vacancy – 30 Hours per Week, Wednesday-Saturday.

6 month contract (with possibility of extension) starting as soon as possible.

Salary: Dependant upon Experience

Location: Orston Shooting Ground, NG13 9NX

Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and experienced shooting instructor to join our hard
working team on a 6 month contract with the possibility of the position becoming permanent.

The role will involve coaching a wide variety of clients ranging from have a go experiences, one to one
lessons through to stag and hen parties and corporate events. This will involve working with people
from all different walks of life and backgrounds. Your people skills will need to be exceptional.

As an instructor you will require a wealth of knowledge and experience coupled with a high standard
of shooting competence mainly on sporting clays. You will also be required to have a good
understanding and ability of other clay shooting disciplines including Sportrap, FITASC, DTL & Skeet.

The ideal candidate will also require a wealth of game shooting coaching experience along with the
ability and experience of coaching in the field and shooting driven clays and game. Knowledge and
experience of shooting driven and walked up Partridge, Pheasant & Grouse would be a huge asset.

Having a good understanding of basic gun fit and establishing eye dominance will be required.

You must be well presented and able to handle yourself confidently but suitably within difficult
situations.

You must be a team player willing to muck in across different departments of the shooting ground.

We are looking for someone with the following assets:
· Qualified with CPSA, BASC, APSI or Lantra Qualifications.
· At least 5 years coaching experience (full or part time)
· Keen interest in clay and game shooting with shooting experience yourself.
· Exceptional customer service skills.
