The Ground

E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground is a CPSA Premier Plus Ground, recognised as one of the top clay-shooting facilities in the United Kingdom.

This is the fourth time that the ground has hosted the CPSA World English Sporting and Sportrap Championships. Managing Director Rob Fenwick and his team bring a wealth of experience to running Championships and will deliver an experience to remember for all attendees.

Top course setters Jamie Peckham and Sean Bramley have set all of the courses, which are sure to challenge and entertain shooters of all levels.

Please note that, though E.J. Churchill is normally a fibre-wad only ground, competitors will be allowed to use either fibre or plastic for this event.

Parking & Disabled Access

Parking will be available near the clubhouse (roughly a ten-minute walk away), please be aware that this will be on grass. Parking attendants will direct you towards parking.

Disabled parking is available for those with a blue badge.

Checking In

We are operating a one-time check-in for all shooters.

Check-in will be at the clubhouse, and competitors will only need to do this once, as it covers all your booked events. It is requested that competitors check in 90 minutes before their first competition to collect their individual event pack. They do not need to check in again after this.

Should a competitor have any questions regarding an event after they have checked in, then they should please see CPSA reception no later than 60-minutes before their next shoot time.

Competitors can bring all of their shooting equipment to the clubhouse on check-in, a one-way system will be in place and everyone should be sure to wear a mask and maintain appropriate distance from others.

Getting to the Courses

Shuttle buses will take competitors to the World English Sporting and World Sportrap courses on the West Wycombe Estate. The FITASC Open and Prelim English Sporting are held near the clubhouse on the normal E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground, roughly 10-minutes walking.

For the buses, competitors will need to be at the bus stop near the clubhouse 45-minutes prior to their shooting time. Please note:

  • Masks must be worn on the buses.
  • There is no other way to access the World English Sporting and World Sportrap courses, use of the buses is mandatory.

Competitors must be sure to bring everything with that they need to shoot with them to the bus, as they won't be able to get back to their personal vehicles in time should they forget something.

Shooting the Course

Seating, toilet facilities, and water stations will be placed around the courses.

On each course, all competitors start at stand 1 (or layout 1 for Sportrap) and work their way to the finish.

On completion of shooting, a bus will pick competitors up and take them back to the clubhouse.

Social Distancing

Please be sure to adhere to social distancing guidelines by:

  • Always remaining two metres from others from outside your household.
