Premier League 2020 update
The Premier League 2020 series returned with the second leg of the Southern Division taking place at Southdown Gun Club on the 12th July after the long break from shooting due to Covid 19.
Warm, sunny conditions returned to help ensure some great scores with George Digweed MBE tying for Joint 1st with Will Fenner on 96 ex 100 but from a Premier League perspective and perhaps the stand out score of the day went to Colt shooter Dan King from Team Southdown who shot a superb 93 to record a League score of 98 with his A Class handicap applied. Well done Dan, great shooting!
In fact, after two fixtures in each division, Dan is leading the table in the South Division and overall with Oliver Bradshaw from Team Sporting Targets heading the North division on 177 ex 200, however with two fixtures in each division still to go plus the final there is still plenty to play for. Remember it is best three scores from five so make every score count!
Team Southdown took full advantage of home conditions to register a convincing home win of 882 ex 1,000 with their best ten scores with Team Owls Lodge in second place on 868 ex 1,000.
We now look forward to the next two legs at Highwaymans Shooting Ground on the 26th July and Owls Lodge Shooting School on the 8th August.
