Thank You for Your Support
With 2020 now behind us, and with the challenge of another national lockdown, we would like to thank all of our members for their ongoing support during these difficult times.
With that in mind, and after recent guidance and clarifications publicised last week regarding fishing and shooting, we have been in continued contact with the government and fellow sports associations. Shooting and fishing were clarified by government departments as forms of exercise, as long as it was participated ‘locally’, which may be defined as ‘within your village, town or area of the city you live’. Understandably, this raised several questions from the membership regarding clay shooting. Unfortunately, under latest government regulations that came into force last Wednesday, shooting grounds and other outdoor sports venues such as golf courses and driving ranges are currently not permitted to open.
As with previous lockdowns, we are striving to get shooting open again by working with our fellow associations, police and the government.
