European DTL Championship
Esker Shooting Ground in Eire, Ireland hosted the DTL European Championships across the 18-19 July 2016.
Further success was enjoyed by Team England at the event, following their achievements at the DTL Home International and British Open on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 July.
Jim Docherty continued his fine form, posting a perfect 200/600 to be crowned 2016 European Champion, Nick Adams and Shane Smith needed a shoot off to decide the runner up and 3rd overall position, this going in favour of Nick.
Caroline Stanbrook was crowned the 2016 Ladies European Champion and Emma Holden was runner up.
There was an England 1-2-3 in the Individual Super Vets category, Dave Hinchliffe 1st, Tony Dore, 2nd and Paul Hodges MBE 3rd. In the team events our Senior Team of Ian Mullarkey, Andrew Brown, Shane Smith, Peter Relph and Tom Robinson took team silver. Ladies team silver also went England’s way following a shoot off with Scotland. Gold medals were awarded to our juniors, Joe Booth, George Lewis and Owen Vining. Super Vets, Rob Haines, Dave Hinchliffe and Tony Dore and our Vets, Maurice Beedan, Gerald Sweet and John Adams.
