Normanton Shooting Ground

As you may be aware, Normanton Shooting Ground is facing closure due to sound complaints from local residents.

Having been in business for almost 50 years, Mick, Jay and their team at Normanton have faced pressure from the council to restrict the number of stands they use, which will result in the closure of the ground.

Having already set up an online petition, which has generated over 800 signatures, they held a special fundraising shoot on February 20 to help them with their cause. Participants  who shot it had a choice of 50-targets in either Sporting or Down the Line, for £20, with re-entry for another round of 50 at just £15. The day saw over 170 people from all corners of the country turn out to shoot, as well as giving up their time to help with the barbeque, registration and giving general support around the ground.
