English Open Super Sporting & Sportrap 2024 (Day 1)

general

The first day of the CPSA English Open Super Sporting could not have started better - the sun was shining and although it was breezy, the prospect for the shooters was looking good.  The forecast for Thursday and the introduction of the English Open Sportrap, looks very similar so hopefully another day of happy shooters.

The prize draw started the morning, with a live random number generator picking Neil Bedingfield as the lucky winner of a fantastic set of Teague chokes generously supplied by Teague Precision Chokes,  Lucy Austin a Swatcom cartridge bag, and George Pearce B&P Cartridges!

Feedback on the Super Sporting was that it was a very enjoyable shoot and the ground looked superb, thanks to all of the hard work by the team at Barbury.

For most of the first day a score of 94 from Daniel Hampson and Bryce Blandford-Corp seemed to be set but Dan Bishop came along and shot a 95 and then in one of the last squads of the day, the 2023 World and British Open Sporting Champion Sam Green secured top of the leaderboard for the day with a great score of 97ex100

The English Open Sportrap begins tomorrow... Good luck to all who are shooting. Will defending champion Martin Myers take home the trophy once again ?
