CPSA Statement on Easing of Lockdown Restrictions

Following the Prime Minister's statement last night, we know that many of you will have questions about when you can get back to enjoying our sport. This is a developing situation, and we will release information as soon as we can.

We are aware of the changes in restrictions regarding outdoor exercise and statements overnight from golf and fishing associations regarding the opening of venues. We are awaiting the detailed government document with further clarification today and are in communication with the government to confirm the position with regard to clay target shooting.

We are also expecting the government to release further guidance on business reopening in the next 48 hours. This will inform not only the reopening of grounds, but also of gun shops and retail facilities associated with our sport.

All shooting grounds, gun shops, etc. are private businesses, and therefore we cannot dictate if they reopen or not, however, the CPSA will do its best to provide relevant and clear advice.
