World English Sporting 2016

The World English Sporting 'Festival of Shooting' returns to England in 2016.

The 'Festival of Shooting' will be held at E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground on June 20-26. It will consist of the CPSA World English Sporting, World Sportrap, a Prelim English Sporting, a FITASC Sporting, the Blaser Intercontinental Trophy and a range of other exciting events. Below you can find the dates and details of the individual competitions.

E.J. Churchill, based on the West Wycombe Estate, has won many accolades including best shooting ground in the UK in the IPC Shooting Industry Awards 2014 and will be celebrating 125 years in 2016. With a stunning 5,000 acre property set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the venue is justly proud of its long heritage and first-class facilities. The luxury of such vast acreage at your disposal is that the CPSA World English Sporting layouts will be entirely different from 2014, giving shooters a brand new challenge whilst upholding the quality experience E.J. Churchill has to offer.

Monday 20th to Wednesday 22nd June 2016 - CPSA World Sportrap

100 Target shoot on either Monday the 20th of June, Tuesday the 21st of June or Wednesday 22nd June. 

Tuesday 21st to Thursday 23rd June 2016 – CPSA FITASC Sporting Open

100 Target shoot (Old System) either Tuesday the 21st of June or Wednesday 22nd June, Thursday 23rd June.

Friday 24th June 2016  – CPSA Prelim English Sporting

100 Target shoot on Friday 24th June at E.J. Churchill. This event is unsquadded with start times from: 9 a.m. (must commence shooting before 10 a.m.), 11 a.m. (must commence shooting before 12 p.m.), 1 p.m. (must commence shooting before 2 p.m.) and 3 p.m. (must commence shooting before 4 p.m.). All scores cards must be returned before 6.30 p.m.

Tuesday 21st to Sunday 26th June – CPSA World English Sporting Championships

A 200 target shoot shot over 2 days (23rd & 24th of June or 25th & 26th June). There will be a 25 FLASH target Super Final, where the top six shooters (shoot-offs will decide in the case of ties) will compete for the title. 

Saturday 25th June 2016 –Intercontinental Trophy by Blaser

England v America Team Event – The five person team competition will be a head to head shoot which will culminate in a thrilling climax. Can England claim the contemporary Blaser trophy back from the American team in what we are sure will be a hard-fought and no doubt ‘emotionally charged’ competition!
