Cockett Farm is delighted to announce the introduction of registered shoots to its 2025 calendar.
Cockett Farm has been operating a shooting ground as part of the family farm since 1982. Whilst a largely unknown venue to a lot of competition sporting shooters, this is a long-awaited addition by many of our regulars and we hope now to become an established venue for both competition & leisure shooters.
Featuring some excellent sporting topography with steep banks and gentle rolling hills combined with flatter, open ground and tree cover, Cockett Farm really does have a lot to offer in terms of target presentation, making for entertaining courses all year round.
Initially we are looking to hold one Friday and one Saturday fixture per month, these will be squadded events, mostly English Sporting with a handful of Super Sporting thrown in. Sportrap fixtures are also an option and may appear in the future.
All practice ranges, with the exception of skeet will remain open as usual on competition days, as the registered competitions will operate on a separate area of the ground.
We are located in north Nottinghamshire just 20 minutes from either the A1 or M1 making us easy to access from most of the country. Keep an eye on our website cockettfarm.com and social media pages and of course Pull! Magazine and the CPSA website for shoot dates, which will be announced shortly.
At the heart of the whole operation is a small but committed, family run team. Husband and wife, Peter and Jane along with sons, Matthew and Edward strive to deliver the highest quality targets they can, keep no birds to an exceptionally low level and maintain the whole facility to a standard which is tough to beat. We have no doubt that this combination is what keeps us thriving as a practice ground however, we also believe we can soon be a must attend venue for registered sporting too!
Please keep an eye out on the CPSA fixtures page and in Pull! magazine for upcoming registered fixtures.
