championships

The third day of the CPSA English Open English Sporting at Doveridge started quite chilly and damp but that didn't dampen the spirits of the early squads heading out to tackle the course today.

Well done to Joshua Keeble, high scorer of the day with a fantastic 114 ex120! Closely chased by Mark Ivey on 112 ex120, well shot gentlemen! Martin Myers and Sam Usher came through tied with 109 ex120, well done to both. High scores of the day from categories are as follows, Teddy Taylor and Tristan Hockey (Juniors) both scored a notable 107 ex120, (Supervet) John Simms 101 ex120, (Veteran) Nick Portlock 110 ex120, and Becky Clifton put in a 99 ex120 for the Ladies - great shooting all !  James Bradley-Day still remains unbeaten on Day 3.

Congratulations to Sam Bate and Amy Addison ! The first two recipients of our Cartridges for Colts Initiative. At the CPSA, together with our valued partner Eley Hawk Ltd we’re dedicated to supporting the next generation of clay shooting champions! With the introduction of this scheme, young shots attending the English Open at Doveridge this year will receive a special gift of Eley cartridges, with the aim of supporting them on their competition journey.

We are grateful for the generous support of sponsors Browning,  Eley Cartridges, Swatcom, Schöffel and Le Chameau who have provided guns, cartridges, hearing protection and clothing vouchers respectively as prizes for winners along with addition to the prize fund. We are also grateful for Teague Precision Chokes and Shots & Co for support with our daily raffle prizes.
